Easter Weekend 2013

It was a fine day at the beach playground.  Perfect for throwing rocks and sinking ships.

Graham discovered the golden egg.  Instead of candy, this one was filled with monetary rewards.

Lots of eggs filled with sweet, sugary goodness.

It was a beautiful day for an egg hunt and relaxing in the spring sunshine.

A hike along the local reservoir, which also serves as a local trail.

Walking in the St. Patrick's Day Parade (NYC)

Snowing near Times Square (After leaving the parade)

Coming from Alaska, Graham is not quite sure what to think about these very large buildings.

Beginning the march down 5th avenue and some of the crowds along the way.

These wagons were the best idea and very popular for both kids and parents.

You're fired!  Many of sad contestants have exited that building.

 The mac store : )

The end of the parade at central park.

Playing on some rocks in Central Park.

It started to snow just as we finished the parade and it was coming down pretty good as we walked through central park.  (Trying to reach the bar on the other side)

Hanging with Jim and all other parade goers at PJ Clarke's.  Black and Tans and delicious food.
Good times.
 Black and Tan.

Just like that.....now it's spring.

Time to bust out the bike and re-learn how to ride.

The ridge (Talcott Mt) between Hartford and Avon (our soon to be new home) provides ample opportunity for getting out and hiking.  Still plenty of snow up there, but it's melting fast.

That's Avon/Simsbury in the background.

The boys were tired of hiking and wanted to eat lunch.

Of course, on the way back we had to drive past the new house in Avon.  This is our road, Wellington Heights, coming up on our new home.

...and there she is.  Just waiting for someone to move in.   Lots of nice southern exposure for gardening.

It's not spring yet.

Another wet snow storm has descended upon us.

Perfect for building a snowman.   One wintry day I made a snowman, very round and tall. (sort of)  The next time you will see him, he will not be the same at all.

Always more shoveling.
