Making Bread

I got a bread machine off of Craigslist for $10 and began experimenting. This was Round 1: It didn't turn out that well. Yes, this is supposed to be bread.

Saying Goodbye to our boys 10/5/11

Our identical twin boys' remains were finally laid to rest this past Wednesday, 10.5.11. The hospital has a beautiful colombarium about an hour north of Anchorage. We are so fortunate that Providence Hospital has this beautiful place for our babies, and for other families that have had similar losses. There was a nice, simple ceremony that took place with a few people in attendance. Another family was there, the caretakers of the cemetery, the hospital chaplain and priest, and two women that are labor and delivery nurses at the hospital! Everyone was really thoughtful and respectful. We recently decided that we would name our boys, and did so at the ceremony. Baby Boy B is Owen and Baby Boy C is Ian. Ian was our #2 name that we had chosen for Graham, and Owen was our #2 name we had chosen for Leo. Although naming them is hard, we hope that it will provide us some comfort in the future when we think of them. Graham drew a picture for them and he was able to leave it with them "in the rock".
Thanks for all of your prayers and all of your support; it makes us stronger.

Rainy Weekend

I'd rather be walking. Enough of this crawling stuff.
